Campus Program Fall 2023

The SOCES Campus Program is a unique IGETC Certification partnership with Los Angeles Pierce College.

Campus Program purpose: to become IGETC Certified by the end of senior year

Why IGETC certification? Completion of the IGETC will permit a student to transfer from a California community college to a CSU or UC campus generally without the need, after transfer, to take additional lower division, general education courses to satisfy campus general education requirements. You will be certified for general education courses but will need to complete courses within your major.

Will I be in college for 4 years? No, IGETC-certified students typically begin college in their second semester of sophomore year or first semester of junior year.

What will my GPA be for the 2 or 4 year? All courses taken via the Campus program are part of your permanent college transcript and GPA.

When should I enroll? The Spring of 8th grade or during the Fall of 9th grade. Students are part of a graduating cohort.

Can I enroll at a later time? 10th-grade students who complete the missed 9th-grade courses may be considered to join Campus.

What is the 4-year plan? Please refer to the attachment Campus Courses 4-year plan Road Map (bottom of this page).

Consider Pierce College classes hosted on the SOCES Campus. A k-12 must be submitted no later than Friday, August 25, 2023. A K-12 attachment may be found at the bottom of this message.

Early Release Passes are for juniors and seniors leaving early to attend community college class(es).

Fall 2023 passes (green and purple) will be invalid starting Monday, August 28, 2023.

New passes will be available to students who upload a PDF of their Fall 2023 college schedule. The screenshot PDF must include the student’s name and the fall 2023 classes they are enrolled in.

You may pick up NEW passes (orange and blue) starting Friday, August 25, 2023, from the College Center (300) during Nutrition or Lunch – bring an ID and old passes.

- Log in to your LACCD Portal at https://sso.laccd.edu/adfs/ls/idpinitiatedsignon.aspx?loginToRp=csprd.laccd.edu

- click on Manage Classes

- click schedule

- click the term (Fall)

- Print a PDF with your name
