HOW DO I KNOW IF I QUALIFY FOR TRANSPORTATION?

All students who live outside the 2-mile radius of SOCES qualify for transportation. You are not required to use it, but you may as needed. Please click below for a current list of Bus Stops and the map showing the radius around the school.

Have you Moved?

If you have moved and need a new bus stop, you must submit a new proof of residency to the Attendance Office. Once submitted, the information is sent to transportation to be updated. To see the Guidelines for Verification of Residence, please click below.

*Please do not submit a Dual Stop Request Form for a new stop if you have moved. A new bus is assigned based on the new address.

Dual Stop Request Form

Students who qualify for transportation are allowed one alternate stop if necessary. A Dual Form must be filled out completely and submitted to the Attendance office. Once submitted, it can take up to 3 school days to approve. If there is no room on the requested route, the Dual Stop cannot be approved. Please do not submit a Dual Stop Request Form for a new stop if you have moved. Click on the tab titled “Moved?” for more information. Please click on the link below for a copy of the form.

Approvals cannot be approved for the following routes as they are full:

6406, 6407, 6410, 6414, 6417, 6420.

Late Buses

Students in grades 6-12 who qualify for transportation are allowed to take a late bus home when participating in a school-authorized after-school  activity. Approved activities include Athletics, Beyond the Bell, After-School Tutoring, Band/Drama/Choir Rehearsal, and Robotics. There are designated areas for each late bus. They do not stop at every location assigned to SOCES for morning and afternoon routes. Please click below for a list of Late Bus Stops.
